Episode I..I..I, Anakin

Possible spoilers, for the spoiler sensitive. Read at your own risk.
As usual, the movie looks great. Was it just me or were there some odd, choppy transitions? Why is it that with Lucas, the better the effects, the worse the story/dialogue? Maybe having such limited tech made him focus more on story elements in the older trilogy. At any rate, there were payoffs. I especially like the very last scene, which recalls Luke's early iconic moment from A New Hope, where the farmboy stares disconsolately at the twin suns of Tatooine as they set. He is obviously wondering when he is ever going to get off this rock and see the universe, but this is expressed very well in silence and without any bad dialogue. My guess is that Lucas is trying for characters so archetypal that he feels he cannot give them dialogue that mere mortals can say without making the audience groan. I was sitting beside ES and I thought she was going to writhe right out of her seat in agony.
